Jahrhunderts weist meist technische Details und Eigentumsfragen aus, doch zeigt sich am Rande immer wieder auch, wie einschneidend die Bahn mit einem Schlag das Leben der Menschen ber\u00fchrt haben muss. Als der Friesacker <span xml:lang=\"fr\">Gendarm<\/span> Weber 1846 auf dem frisch errichteten Gleis zum ersten Mal eine Eisenbahn sah, liest man zwischen den Zeilen seines \u201eBerichtes \u00fcber die Fahrt einer Lokomotive\u201c jedenfalls noch einige Aufregung und die Frage, ob bei dem Ereignis alles mit rechten Dingen zugegangen war: \u201eIch habe mich gleich an Ort und Stelle \u00fcberzeugt, und habe gefunden, da\u00df soweit die Fahrt begonnen, die auf den \u00dcberg\u00e4ngen vorher hingestellten Barrieren, w\u00e4hrend der Fahrt verschlossen, mit W\u00e4rtern und diese mit Fahnen versehen waren\u201c schreibt er dem Landrat. Auch der Ursprungsbau des Paulinenauer Bahnhofs wurde von ihm entworfen.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Was damals mit der Macht des Neuen um sich griff, ist nun selbst in die Jahre gekommen und an den Bahnhofsgeb\u00e4uden aus der Anfangszeit, die heute fast ohne Ausnahme noch die Strecke s\u00e4umen, sieht man l\u00e4ngst den Zahn der Zeit nagen. Doch fr\u00fcher waren sie bewunderte K\u00fcnder einer neuen Zeit, entworfen von Friedrich Neuhaus in lupenreinem Klassizismus.
